MikroTik's RB-GPER is part of MikroTik's GPEN (Gigabit Passive Ethernet Network) range. This unit allows you to extend an Ethernet cable by up to 150m to network devices and up to 210m to another GPeR unit. The initial connection from the power source to GPeR should not exceed 100m but thereafter can be extended up to 210m to the next GPeR. Using multiple GPeR devices in line can allow up to 1.5km when using PoE.
NOTE: Jumper usage - If the destination device does not support PoE powering, the power passthrough can be disabled manually by removing both jumpers on the "PoE out" side. This will only work if "PoE in" is served by passive PoE source, as 802.3af/at switches will not be able to power the GPeR itself.
